Our Area

Tauranga Bay is an idyllic surf beach setting, itís got a wonderful long sandy beach and great carparks on lovely soft grass!

Itís the home of the famous ĎBay House Cafeí, which not only offers a huge selection of dishes but provides you with excellent views of the Tasman Sea and surf.

To the north of the bay is a walking track leading to the Tauranga Bay seal colony, which is a very popular tourist attraction.

Thereís a brilliant walk around the cliffs, and beyond the lighthouse, the track will lead you to numerous local accommodations, the park and the local pub, Ďthe Starí.

So, itís a great place and we hope to see you soon!

Time and Tides

The best time to go surfing is generally on an incoming tide, from about 2 hours past low tide is ideal but any time can be worked with.

Here are some websites for Tide information (or just ask us! because we will know :-)
